The 65th International Astronautical Congress, hosted by the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute, was held in Toronto in September. The theme “Our World Needs Space” brought together 3,000 of the world’s top scientists, researchers, astronauts, engineers, representatives from industry, government and academia from 69 countries. Their aim was to discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by space exploration.
