Living City wins two 2016 Catholic Press Awards!

We are happy to share this good news with all our readers, those who are so generous with their support and stories to help spread the message of unity and make our magazine possible.

We took first place for “Best explanation of the Church’s position on marriage,” for the articles Adopting hope,” Fulfilling life and Pushing the limits,” by Mary Lou and Michael Haynes, Maria Luce Ronconi and Living City staff for the July 2015 issue.
“Honest exploration of ethical dilemmas,” the CPA judges wrote, “and how individuals should seek to align their personal choices with ethical imperatives.”

We also earned an honorable mention in the “Best essay, magazine or newsletter” category for a national general interest magazine: Facing the prejudices within by Amy Uelmen, which ran in October 2015. “A critically important topic, engaged with energy and insight,” wrote the judges.
