Our Staff

Our international team of journalists and editors is committed to quality journalism that contributes to promoting peace, freedom, justice and truth. Each staff member’s experience and expertise enrich the magazine’s reportage on current events, trends, world issues and people.


She started working for Living City in 1984 as art director and in 2002 she assumed the role of managing editor. She holds a Master’s in Natural Science/Paleontology from the University La Sapienza in Rome, Italy and a certificate of magazine design from Parsons School of Design, New York. She is passionate about the possibility of sharing the ideal of unity and peace with many people through Living City. She loves mountain climbing and is a trustful source to identify mushrooms.

Clare Zanzucchi


Susanne decided to become a journalist because she was always curious and passionate about knowing people’s stories, as well as discovering how small actions can change the world. Born in Germany, she obtained a Master in Science of Communication, Literature and Science of Music from the University of Muenster. After a brief excursion with television, she worked as a reporter and editor at various German newspapers for more than 15 years. She spent two years in Los Angeles as a correspondent for German and Swiss publications and has just joined the Living City team at the beginning of 2013. She loves mountains, music and movies.

Sarah’s Living City story began in 2002, when she was a student journalist eager to contribute to the magazine’s goal of encouraging unity and dialogue. She then worked in Italy and Argentina, in print and online, before returning as assistant managing editor in 2011. She studied English and Journalism at the State University of New York at New Paltz, and has a Master’s in Global Development and Social Justice from St. John’s University in Queens, New York. She loves speaking Spanish whenever she can and enjoys hiking in the Hudson Valley.

She is former Licensed Nursing Home Administrator with a Master Degree in Social Work from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. who has worked for the Archdiocese of New York and its related healthcare facilities.
T. M. Hartmann
Living City art director since 2001. Originally from Switzerland, and a registered nurse, she is an accomplished photographer and does art work (Swiss paper cutting). She has worked extensively for the Living City website.

Stella Vischer

Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mariana loves the heat! And she puts all her heart’s warmth and passion into anything she does. So she sees working for LC as a great way to share the warmth of God’s love with all who receive it. Currently studying Design and Media production, Mariana strives to learn all the techniques and new tips to keep the magazine looking beautiful and attractive to current and potential readers.

Miguel Tejerina

Graphic designer and collaborator with Living City since 2002, Miguel has used his artistic and technical talents to create the covers that have been Living City’s “front door,” inviting all our readers and friends to open each issue of the magazine and discover what’s inside.
Clarita monitors the Living City website to assure it stays online functions well and provides users with a rich online experience. She feels privileged to work for Living City and for its goal of contributing to build a more united world.  Prior to joining the magazine, she taught Chemistry in Jamsil High School in South Korea for two years and worked for the Focolare in Italy for four years. She enjoys learning languages, swimming and painting.

Philomena Sheridan
Originally from Dublin, she came to New York just for one year to work for a bank. Now she lives in the States for almost 40 years and loves every bit of it. Without her and her more than 30-year experience, Living City would never make its way to the reader. She loves tennis, especially the US Open, and enjoys a good ping pong match.
