Giving their smiles and talents
I recently accompanied a group of girls and boys in Atlanta on a trip to an assisted living home to visit elderly people with Alzheimer’s. Before we went, we reminded one another that the most important thing is to love one another so that Jesus would be present among us. Afterwards the children shared their thoughts on the visit:
“We were sure that Jesus would give joy to each person we would meet. We also prayed to God to help us be courageous in giving our smiles and talents.”
Putting aside my plans
My aunt needed help with her resume. I was in a rush, and the deadline wasn’t until later…couldn’t it wait until tomorrow?
