Children across the country and around the world learn the Gospel-based Art of Loving through the Cube of Love program. Here’s how Maia August-Graciano, a 4-year-old from Bayland, Texas, tried to “love everyone.”
When I was in 4th grade last year, I had two friends, Kay and my best friend, Robin. I remember one day, I saw Kay whispering in Robin’s ear. I could tell they were saying bad things about me because Kay was looking at me in a mean way.
I felt sad, and I thought that Robin didn’t want to be my best friend anymore. When we were having dinner at home, Mom and Dad asked us about our day. I told them what happened, and they told me to keep on loving, that I shouldn’t treat them the same way they treated me.
So the next day, I treated Robin in a nice way and she began to be nice to me, too. Now we are back as friends.
