Our Staff

Susanne decided to become a journalist because she was always curious and passionate about knowing people’s stories, as well as discovering how small actions can change the world. Born in Germany, she obtained a Master in Science of Communication, Literature and Science of Music from the University of Muenster. After a brief excursion with television, she worked as a reporter and editor at various German newspapers for more than 15 years. She spent two years in Los Angeles as a correspondent for German and Swiss publications and has just joined the Living City team at the beginning of 2013. She loves mountains, music and movies.

She studied English and Journalism at the State University of New York at New Paltz, and has a Master’s in Global Development and Social Justice from St. John’s University in Queens, New York. Philomena Sheridan
Originally from Dublin, she came to New York just for one year to work for a bank. Now she lives in the States for almost 40 years and loves every bit of it. Without her and her more than 30-year experience, Living City would never make its way to the reader. She loves tennis, especially the US Open, and enjoys a good ping pong match.
